Filings and close: when the ERP does not talk to Hacienda, people pay
Late March is quarter close for a lot of operations. In 2026, 4.4 XML also feeds pre-filled return logic. The team that “exports to Excel and sends it to the accountant” is paying human hours for work that is a contract between systems: issuer, purchases, banks, gateway.
Systems integration is that contract. Not fashionable middleware. It is: if the voucher was accepted, the books know; if it charged, the payment receipt goes out; if XML landed in email, Journal stores it. Consulting belongs when nobody can draw that diagram on a whiteboard.
The hidden cost of copy-paste
- VAT errors found in audit, not at close.
- Two versions of “the truth” (ERP vs TRIBU-CR).
- Good people burned on plumbing work.
April does not improve the diagram. It only adds Holy Week and fewer hands. The rail is built in March or suffered in April.
A boring API is cheaper than a brilliant analyst pasting columns.
Quote the plumbing. Bring the diagram — even if it is ugly. We turn it into software.
