On 1 September Hacienda stops accepting e-invoice 4.3
Only a few business hours remain before cutoff. On 1 September 2025, 4.3 vouchers do not go in, except notes that adjust old documents. Anyone who has not migrated does not have a “digital transformation” problem. They have a Monday problem.
We have seen the pattern: the vendor promised July, then August, and production XML is still 4.3. The useful conversation now is not blame. It is: can you issue 4.4 on Monday, yes or no? If not, change issuer or integration this week, not in October.
If the vendor does not land
- Document the last accepted XML and the rejection error. Without that, nobody helps you fast.
- An API to an issuer already on 4.4 is shorter than rebuilding all of accounting.
- Purchases that keep landing in email still have to be filed: Journal does not wait for your own issuer to be perfect.
Support for a system is measured in these 72 hours, not in the brochure. If you need hands, write with Hacienda’s error pasted, not a “it doesn’t work.”
Cutoff does not negotiate. The vendor does, and already negotiated too much.
Quote dated this week. After Monday the work continues, but sales without valid XML are already damaged.
