The TSE declared a president-elect: the ID is still master data
On 3 March 2026 the Supreme Electoral Tribunal officially declared the presidential result after the count. It is an institutional act with public figures. For a clinic, school, or retailer, the actionable fact is not the office-holder’s name: it is that the country has a body that treats identity as infrastructure. Your systems should do the same at small scale.
We will not do political analysis here. We will insist: validating IDs against the civil registry cuts duplicates, fake sign-ups, and ghost charges. March onboarding (school season, memberships, credit) should not be looser than January “because the election is over.”
Identity infrastructure, not a headline
- One file per ID, with a change history.
- Roles: who creates users and who sees sensitive data.
- Collection and contract point at that file, not a WhatsApp nickname.
May will bring a change of administration. Your customer register does not have to shake with that if the ID was already the master field before.
The declaration is a bulletin. A CRM duplicate is a cost.
If March still accepts IDs by eye, let’s put the API in. It is a rail, not an opinion.
